ACLS*PROFILE REVIEW+MANAGER INTERVIEW- # of Beds 15- Nurse:Patient
Ratios ICU: 1:1:2, PCU 1:3- Common diagnoses/Types of patients
"varies- adults and geriatrics. CABG, carotids, VATs, anything
cardiovascular, STEMIs, sepsis and pressors, Covid, pneumonia,
general sugical- sepsis, traumas, ventrics, cranis, bolts, DKA, OD,
ETOH withdrawal, IABP, Impella, prismaflex, ventilators, arctic
sun, ECMO"- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Prefer experience
with IABP, Impella, prismaflex, ventilators, arctic sun, must be
willing open to PCU assignments/ratios- Are RNs required to titrate
drips? yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips critical care
drips, Vasopressors, heparin, lasix, antiarrhythmics- Is there a
Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an
assignment? Charge goes to codes, RRT, normally no assignment,
maybe takes 1 patient if needed.- Are there nurse aids/patient care
techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? none- Hospitalist &/or
Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7? Intensivist MD In house
24/7 MD- RT in ICU 24/7? 1 assigned to ICU- RT Equipment (Vents,
Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with
these besides trouble shoot? Nasal cannula to vents, RN to trouble
shoot equipment- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs
required to read their own strips? RNs required to read and
interpret, no monitor techs, central monitor station, RN to read
strips- Shifts & Scheduling: 7a-7p, 7p-7a manager to make schedule,
will consider blocks if meets unit needs. If D/N Rotation, rotation
will not occur more than weekly- Weekend Requirements: Every other-
Holiday Requirements: Every other- Is there a call or standby
requirement? No- Floating Requirements: All areas as helping hands,
To MS Tele for PCU patients, and MS for full patient assignment,
some ER Holds/ boarding- How many shifts of unit/department
specific orientation?: 2- 12 hour shifts- Additional Notes: ICU PCU
combined, ICU RN to take PCU patients frequentlyUnited Staffing
