  • Med/Tele RN specialty with 6025 code
  • 13-week contract length
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have PCU experience & be able to read strips
    • Experience with Tele/cardiac RN wanted with PCU experience
    • Epic software experience preferred
    • OK with first time travelers
    • RN required to titrate drips
    • Charge Nurse on each shift, may occasionally take a light load
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts & Scheduling: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
      • If rotating shift, 7-7 rotation will not occur more than weekly
      • Weekend Requirements: Every other
      • Holiday Requirements: Every other
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # of Beds: 32
        • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow on the unit 1:3
        • Charge Nurse takes occasional light load
        • Nurse aids/patient care techs on unit
        • RT Equipment: Bipap, trachs, airvo etc.
        • Tele/Monitor Techs on unit
        • Floating Requirements: All areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load of PCU, MS for full patient assignment, some ER Holds/boarding
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? any color scrubs
        • Orientation: 2- 12 hour shifts, Friday and Saturday of first week of orientation and on own by that Sunday
          • Additional Details
          • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: adults and geriatrics, Cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, Covid Bipap, occasional general surgical with heart history, medical patients with cardiac history, pneumonia covid, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, sepsis
          • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix (low dose Dopamine), No Levo
          • Additional Notes: More of a tele/cardiac unit
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
