  • - # of Suites: 12 ORs, 1 Endo Suite, 1 Cysto Suite
  • - Cases Per day: 25-30 cases on average
  • - Common Cases: ortho neuro total joints(hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, micro discs, cranis, and no awake large neuro cases
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have 3 years of Ortho/Neuro OR experience
      • Schedule Information
      • - Shifts & Scheduling: 8hr 0645-1515; 0900-1730; Clinical supervisor makes the schedule
      • - Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1-2 times per week, 1515-0645
      • - Weekend/Call Requirements: based on staffing - Fri 1515-Mon 0645 every 3-4 weekend
      • - Holiday/Call Requirements: Must be willing to work holidays- rotate with perm staff.
      • - What is call response time? 15 minutes, 8 hour reprieve shifts for post call, sleep room available - housing should also be available nearby to make call
        • Unit Specific Information
        • - # of Suites: 12 ORs, 1 Endo Suite, 1 Cysto Suite
        • - Is scrubbing required for RNs?: no
        • - Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift?: Charge Nurse for all shifts 7a-11p M-F, weekends 7a-7p, manager until 4p M-F
        • - OR techs?: Yes
        • - EMR: EPIC
        • - Floating Requirements: MUST be willing to float to cross train to other specialty cases if needed. MUST be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter or helping hands (and will get trained that day). If refused- considered supplemental time off, not getting paid- RDO day) Ability to pick up extra for 1:1 sitting; we do this to supplement hours if we have a low case volume
        • - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided
        • - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 4-5 days unit based orientation; 2 buddy call shifts
          • Additional Details
          • This department has a family atmosphere. RNs not required to scrub
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
